Walleye fishing Door County has fired up during the month of August!  Trophy Walleye are being caught up and down the entire Bay of Green Bay. Silver Strike fishing guides have been targeting the big Walleye off the shores of Door County. Our guides have even been focused out on the shoals and reefs as well! Depending on the day Walleye fishing can be pretty solid during the middle of the day through out the week.

Our fishing guides have been targeting these trophy Walleye by mostly trolling but some are also being caught by jigging.  Now through the fall is a great time to come up to Door County and get hooked up into some of these Walleyes.  Thus, the weather can be a factor in the day and how many Walleye are caught.  The good thing is that fish have been biting throughout the day! You do not need to be out in the middle of the night to catch a trophy Walleye. Walleye fishing in Door County can be a little challenging, especially when trying to locate them but by trolling you can cover a lot more water.
